2nd Hunt [Voice] Curious cats and other things

Okay so I've read the guidebook, I've gotten the memos and I realize I can't get people here. The City either brings them here or they don't. I'm not even going to start on how fucked up that is.

So what about things. Like what would I have to do to get my car here?

EDIT

HEY DEITIES...LET'S MAKE A DEAL

[identity profile] sword-boy.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
You could try asking the Deities if you wanted your car...

[identity profile] dude-imbatman.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
Okay...but what what they going to want? I mean ballpark, what sort of thing do they usually ask for? Nothing's free.

[identity profile] not-pirate.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
Did you get tired of walking already?

[identity profile] dude-imbatman.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
She's not just a car. She's a 1967 Chevy Impala. Mint condition. She was my dad's.

[He's only sort of giving you the 'you're a moron' look. Yes despite the fact that this is VOICE]

[identity profile] acceptingeyes.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
Ask the deities.

They can do trades to get things back or get things brought here. Just be careful what you trade with.

[identity profile] not-pirate.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
And a lady car at that. [He knows that look. He's had that look and looked that look. Not a car guy though. You could walk to school, the Bronze, and the cemetery in Sunnydale. What more did you need?]

The only way I've heard about getting stuff like that is what he said with the deities. I haven't talked to them myself, so I don't know too much about it.

[identity profile] dude-imbatman.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
What do you mean? Years? Standard trading card when you're dealing with demons. I don't know much about dealing with deities.

[identity profile] dude-imbatman.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
All cars are women.

[This is said in a very wow you are a moron tone of voice]

Guess I'll find out.

[identity profile] alittlewild.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
Depends. I made a deal for a car for someone.

[identity profile] dude-imbatman.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
What'd you trade?

[identity profile] alittlewild.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
Evidently cars are kind of a big deal to get brought here. So they wanted something big from me. My abilities for two weeks.

[identity profile] dude-imbatman.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
Huh. Well it's good to know I'm gonna have to aim high.

[identity profile] alittlewild.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
If you're human then the only thing you may have are memories to give away. But there are a few mechanics in the City that might be able to build something for you.

[identity profile] dude-imbatman.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
Then I'll wager away memories.

This isn't just a car. She's a 1967 Chevy Impala. Mint condition. I've built her from nearly the frame up once already. She was my dad's car.

[identity profile] alittlewild.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
That's why I went with making a deal, it was a special make and model ‘78 Camaro.

Sounds like you have a car that's more than just a make and model though, it's also got some memories of it's own along with it. Do you have any memories in mind that you'd be willing to give up?

[identity profile] acceptingeyes.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
They like memories.

[identity profile] dude-imbatman.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
A couple. Maybe the first time I saw her. 1973 and Dad was going to buy a volkswagon van. I convinced him it'd be a crime to leave a sweet thing like that on the car lot.

Or my first--

I'm sorta trying to stick to memories tied to the Impala.

[identity profile] dude-imbatman.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
So I'm hearing. Should I stick to memories involving the car?

[identity profile] acceptingeyes.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know if that would do you any good.

If you lose those memories, how will you know it's your car?

[identity profile] not-pirate.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
Are all trucks men? [He's okay with the tone. You're the one calling cars women.]

[identity profile] alittlewild.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
You've had a car that long? Impressive that you've kept it running.

I should warn you it might come with something wrong with it. Several of the cars that came haven't worked right when they showed up.

[identity profile] sword-boy.livejournal.com 2010-03-04 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
It depends on the person really. They'll take something away from you, either physically or metaphorically in some equal value to the thing you desire. So, if you can't keep weapons away from you, you're unable to touch one for a month or some arbitrary period of time. Or you lose memories or a dear item. It's all up to you and the Deity you make consensus with.
