[Dean knows that squeal. It's sort of a squeal that announces a certain type of person rather than a single person. He looks up from the car, rubs a hand over his face and winces.]

[The smile makes Dean feel like he's four. It always does. he shoves his hands in his pockets and nods.] So how's home?

[He knows John is from way before him but he'd kind of like to hear about when things were simpler. Before angels and deals with demons, when they just hunted monsters and saved people.]
