Mom! I'm home! [Dean yells this as he opens the door and prepares for the barrage of brothers and sisters as he goes about hanging up his coat, toe-heeling his shoes off and general 'I'm home' sort of routines.] Sorry I'm late. My favorite sister piled all the paper work for the last week on me.

[Okay to be honest it was all the paperwork he'd been avoiding for the last ~~month~~ week. He really thinks he ought to get special consideration considering the chief is his sister. She has other ideas.]

[ Cameron yells her answer from the kitchen. Since she did all her paperwork, she left earlier. Hah. ] Only the paper work that you didn't do, o brother mine.

[And Mary's there in a minute, wiping her hands on a kitchen towel. Because she does not yell across the apartment unless one of the kids has done something wrong.]

Maybe if you'd done your work in the first place you wouldn't have to do it all at the end of the week.

[Oh hey! It's the bratty 14-year-old of the clan standing in the doorway of her room with her arms crossed and a smirk on her face.]

Oh come on, Mom! You can't take her side. She likes paperwork. [He swoops her up in a hug.]

[And Dean fast-walks to her, grabbing her, tickling and tossing her over his shoulder]

We gotta teach you about sarcasm, Squirt.

[And this is Dean laughing forever and anticipating listening with great pleasure while Ken gets thwaped for cursing.]

I have a life. [ Definitely. But Cameron still walks over into the hallway to give Dean a hug. And poke him in the ribs for that comment. ]

[Then mom's there next to Ken and she bops the back of his head with her hand.]

Language, mister. [Mary has no issue with it being used outside but she won't have it in her house.]

[This gets you an extremely high-pitched and girly scream.]

Deeeeeeeeeeeeean! Ow, that hurt!

[Said as she's giggling her face off]

Sheesh it's like the Brady Bunch on crack up in there. And great, now I have the Brady Bunch theme song in my head.

Contrary to popular opinion, she does not actually like paperwork. [ Said with as close to a pout as Cameron will get. ]

[He hugs back then wiggles and hops a bit to get away from the poking.]

I meant a social life. [The teasing never stops, Cam. Sorry.]

I also have one of those, Deano. [ Following for more hugs and poking. ]

[He is still tickling as he carries her toward the living room.]

What? I can't hear you!

We're so much cooler than the Brady Bunch.

[Mary returns the hug happily.]

I think people who like paperwork are very few in numbers. Some just like to get the paperwork out of the way so they don't have to worry about it.

[And Dean is trying in vain to restrain his laughter because he doesn't want to be Mary's next target.]

[Dulcie manages to flail enough to give him a pretty sharp kick to the ribs. May you rue the day your sister started wearing doc martens.]

You know better, Ken. Now why don't you boys go get the extra chairs and set the table.
