So for those of you who don't know know, today is national Pie Day. In honor of that I'm at Bakery having pie; every kind of pie they have. Come down and have a slice with me. Or six.

Ah, you meant the mathematical ratio of the circumference to the diameter of a circle and not an actual baked pie. That does make more sense than to dedicate a day to a pastry.

Seriously? No I meant pie, the pastry. It's just a National Holiday today because of pi instead of 3/15 or whatever.

I'm fairly certain Pi Day refers to the ratio, not something edible. Do you honestly think there would be a National holiday for something as trivial as a baked pastry?

Hey! Pie is not trivial. Besides we've got a day for Turkey. Might as well have one for pie.

I'm sure pies are special if you should enjoy cooked fruit and excess amounts of sugar, but they're certainly not special enough to have a holiday over. And Thanksgiving is not a holiday dedicated to eating turkey. I hope you were simply being facetious with that comment, otherwise I'll worry about the education you've received.
