[The video flickers on when Dean sets it down. His jaw is clenched, muscles taunt and tense through his jaw, neck and shoulders. The look in his eyes is pure murder. He aims the gun at the target and fires off nine quick shots then reloads and fires nine more. He sets the gun down, nudging the device and it turns to show his target--nine head shots; nine heart shots.

Rinse. Repeat]

[The wave of a hand unlocks the door and she wraps it back around Dean's neck, burying her head in his neck not even wanting to see the inside, her mind creating images of cats, dogs, eagles...]

[Handy that. He steps inside, nudging the door shut as quietly as he can.]

Flip the lights on and I'll check things out then we'll go sit in the bathtub.

[Yeah he'd hidden in the bathtub a couple of times with Sam when he was little. It was one of those places that just felt safer than anywhere else in the house]

Maybe the closet, under the coats?

[Burrowing instinct? Check. Plus its dark and small and doesn't make loud noises getting in and out of it with shoes on.]

Okay. We can get in the closet. [He carries her through the apartment, checking everything out. He's careful not to slam doors shut or make much noise. Once he thinks he's assured her that it's safe, he snags the blanket off his bed and heads toward the closet.]

[She's already crouched inside, huddled in the corner, trying not to flinch at the sound of footsteps.]

Just me [He figures a warning is good. He crawls in the closet with her then reaches out to wrap her up in the blanket and in his arms.]

[He's warm and soft and she curls up against him, waiting for the curse to end.]
