[Okay so maybe he shouldn't ask for help and damn him in the same breath. Even if he is somewhere he--the Impala is gone. Pause for dramatic effect and then THE IMPALA IS GONE]

[He pulls his gun out from his waistband at the small of his back and points, it holding it as the ready as he steps away from the wall defensively. It's dark and-]

Dean. What did you do? [ He knew he had been praying, but had Dean inadvertently tripped some celestial wire?]

Yeah because I jerk people around like some GPS happy Jackass.

[Insert lots of grumbling and more of that defensive 'taking stock'. He's even more tense because if Castiel is right and he didn't--]

[Now his voice has that slightly panicked tone that it always takes when Sam's in trouble. Basically? Every Thursday. Sometimes on Saturdays too]

And before Dean can argue or comment further there's a blur, darker and blobier than the rest of the shadows. It emits some kind of scream thing and lunges at Dean. Three shots off and the thing is down for the count. Dean trains the gun on it's head and nudges it with his toe.]

Dude. I just shot the welcome wagon and it is uuuuuugly.

[He sounds in a remarkably better mood now.]

[Castiel watches, almost passively. Par for the course. Also, he is looking for this aforementioned wagon. Where the hell is it, Dean?

He crouches down and pokes at the corpse, in an attempt to identify it and makes a noncommittal noise.]

[Eyerolling here. One of these days they're going to have pop culture class]

Now can we move our asses before something else comes along or would you like to sing it a song and say a prayer?

[He looks up as if Dean has roused him out of some very serious thinking.] You're right. [And here comes his hand toward Dean's forehead. If he doesn't dodge, Dean will find himself and Castiel in the Overground, exactly above where they were positioned underneath. Hopefully not inside a wall or anything. And the devices will fuzz momentarily.]

[Normally? Dean would be on top of that but this is definitely not a normal situation so the dodging comes a little too late and before you know it BAMF]

Sorry. [He doesn't really look it; he's a little more occupied with observing their surroundings. Also? Have TMI, Dean.] They probably wouldn't affect me. The vessel is void.

[Castiel stands there, looking pretty unimpressive. The City's obviously populated, buildings just like any other city he'd visited before, but something seemed missing.]

[Castiel steps closer to Dean.] Of course. [He touches his fingers to Dean's forehead, and anyone watching would see them blink out of existence.

Only to blink back in again few feet away. Castiel slumps against Dean, sporting a nosebleed and obviously disoriented.]

Whoa! [This is a slightly panicked Dean] Cas.

Shit. Okay. Stay with me, Cas.

[He puts his arm around Castiel and starts trying to lug/walk the guy toward the apartment Anna said was hers]

We're not getting out of here any time soon, Dean. [Castiel likes to inform you of obvious things. He's also making himself stand upright and only barely succeeding.]

[He's not even going to dignify that with a response]

[And they're walking, Dean hauling Cas with him.]

[Worry makes him mouthy]

Very funny, Dean. [So not amused, staggering along with Dean and maybe just a little pouty. That wasn't very fun and you're taking digs? Who the hell do you think you-- right. Dean Winchester. Castiel's worry makes him quiet, as the hobble along the sidewalk.]

Yeah, I'm a regular comedian [Exactly. He's Dean Winchester. Taking digs is what he does. Particularly when things are scary as fuck]
