Mom! I'm home! [Dean yells this as he opens the door and prepares for the barrage of brothers and sisters as he goes about hanging up his coat, toe-heeling his shoes off and general 'I'm home' sort of routines.] Sorry I'm late. My favorite sister piled all the paper work for the last week on me.

[Okay to be honest it was all the paperwork he'd been avoiding for the last month week. He really thinks he ought to get special consideration considering the chief is his sister. She has other ideas.]

[She always tries to give them hugs whenever they come over.] Busy as usual. Family dinner nights remind me of when all of you were still living at home. Though I'm glad you all can feed yourselves.

I bet you are. And as much as I love them all, I like having my own place. Still, nothing beats family dinner nights here.

Need any help with anything? [ Cameron is rubbish at cooking, absolutely awful, but she can still help. ]

I agree, I love having you all over. It means I have more hands for clean-up duty around here. [She teased lightly.

And mom knows that her eldest is horrible at cooking - but she nods to a tray where rolls have already be put onto it.] Put that in the oven for me.

I can do that. [ Cameron's lack of cooking abilities are (in)famous, so she's always happy when there is something to do in the kitchen that she can't mess up too badly. ]

Oh yes, I had this all planned out from the beginning. One day when I'm old and gray I'll just call you all over to do handiwork and cleaning around the house for me. [Mary loves being able to joke with her kids.]

Cam gets the dishes out and stashes them on a counter for her brothers to take. ] See, you're already making us do the work. Your evil plan is working.
