He remembers this day and he dreads it and he looks forward to it. There's never any telling who will show up. Finally after a great deal of contemplation he picks the device up]

[He considers a moment then amends]

[Because it is. Despite everything, John is still Dean's hero and having him around makes everything feel like it's all right. At least for a little while]
